Founded on February 2, 2016, with the vision of “Meeting Point of the FinTech Ecosystem” in Turkey, FinTech Istanbul is celebrating its 9th anniversary.
Leading the development of the financial technologies ecosystem, FinTech Istanbul has been adding value to the industry for nine years alongside its supporting stakeholders. By fostering knowledge sharing, encouraging entrepreneurship, and inspiring innovative ventures, the platform continues to contribute to the growth of the sector.
Through our efforts to expand and strengthen the ecosystem—such as organizing events, providing cutting-edge training programs, and delivering up-to-date content—we have played a key role in advancing the FinTech landscape in Turkey and enhancing its visibility on a global scale.
We left behind nine years full of achievements
In FinTech Istanbul, which has made significant contributions to the development of the ecosystem in nine successful years, thousands of contents were published, hundreds of industry-leading trainings were organized, webinars focused on awareness and information, as well as local and international events supported/represented stood out. The FinTech Istanbul B2B Connect Summit, organized for the 2nd time in 2024, has made crucial contributions to the development of the collaboration environment in the ecosystem. Our reports, collaborations and reference points such as FinTech Timeline have attracted great interest on a local and global scale. We also have engaged with our ever-growing community through our social media platforms. Many thanks to everyone who has been with us in this process and contributed to the ecosystem.

Regarding the ninth anniversary, FinTech Istanbul Co-Founder and Istanbul University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Yazıcı made the following assessment:
“When we founded FinTech Istanbul in 2016, our main goal was to create a platform that could bring together all stakeholders in the FinTech ecosystem in our country and to benefit those involved in this platform. Over the past nine years, we have become an integral part of the ecosystem through the trainings we have organized, the national and international collaborations we have developed, the news and reports we have published, and the events and webinars we have conducted. By launching the FinTech Academy, the first and only online training platform that offers the most sought-after trainings in the field of FinTech, we have contributed to eliminating the shortage of skilled human resources in this rapidly growing sector in our country. Throughout this journey, entrepreneurs, banks, investors, regulators and supervisors, as well as all new players in this sector, have supported us by taking part in the FinTech Istanbul Platform, and have had the opportunity to produce and create synergy together by benefiting from us. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the brands that have been our companions so far and those who have contributed by participating in our growth. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen collaborations to expand the ecosystem in our country and become a major force in our region in the Fintech sector.”
