FinTech Istanbul has fantastic news to share!
As open banking is preparing to be defined in the Turkish legislation in a manner similar to PSD2, FinTech Istanbul made an attempt to get closer to the European standards and took a seat at the PSD2 NextGen Advisory Board in Berlin. Ahmet Usta (Editor in Chief) and Sebnem Elif Kocaoglu Ulbrich (Germany Representative) will be representing FinTech Istanbul at the Advisory Board.
The NextGenPSD2 Advisory Group and the NextGenPSD2 Advisory Board operate under the Berlin Group and offer participants the opportunity to liaise, interact and engage in a 2-way dialogue on strategic, business, and technical topics related to the use and evolution of the NextGenPSD2 standards and beyond. The initiative ensures up-to-date information on all NextGenPSD2 activities and future specification development from inception.
The NextGenPSD2 Advisory Group consists of many established players with ties to open banking, including Plaid, Mastercard, Yapily, Tink, Accenture, and Netflix. FinTech Istanbul is pleased to be surrounded by so many payments and open banking specialists via this membership.
This cooperation represents an excellent opportunity to get closer to the market precedence and learn through the European open banking initiative. In return, FinTech Istanbul is looking forward to sharing more about the open banking practices in Turkey, about the steady API culture, and progressive retail banks’ practices.
