We are coming out of stealth today!
Since last year, we have been working on something exciting, and we would like to share the news with you – European Innovation Bridge.
European Innovation Bridge was found in 2020 by FinTech and innovation enthusiast expats for European-based, Turkish-speaking FinTech, financial innovation, and RegTech professionals. We are a Berlin- based non-profit bringing the best expat tech talents together, bridging cultures and know-how. Our boutique community consists of banking and FinTech executives, technology and innovation experts, enthusiasts that possess unique knowledge and cultural diversity through expatriate/immigration.
Since our first event in 2020, we have been growing steadily; we have accepted more than 40 regular and ad-hoc members, reached out to participants from +10 European countries, and organized eight events, discussing FinTech and blockchain trends in a collaborative and sincere environment.
I want to use this opportunity to thank Salih Zeki Cimen, our Founding Director, our Founding Members, and esteemed state representatives personally, for their belief in us. Our Economic Counsellor at Turkish Embassy Berlin, Ms. Nilüfer Ergun Turan, and Treasury and Finance Attaché at the Consulate General of Turkey in Frankfurt, Ms. Zeynep Akkas Caglar, heartened and supported the project right from the start.
Additionally, I am grateful for the encouragement we have received from the FinTech Istanbul family, namely Mr. Ahmet Usta, Dr. Soner Canko, and Prof. Dr. Selim Yazici.
Finally, we couldn’t have done it without our members and supporters, who have been generous enough to dedicate their time, knowledge, and ideas to our cause.
What’s next? Now that we consolidated our foundation, we plan to grow our community further and actively accept new members who can bring fresh blood to our events. We are also working on a European FinTech Ecosystem report, due soon. Last but not least, we are planning public networking and funding events for entrepreneurs – stay tuned.
